Ralf Wehowsky's home-recording desk around 1992.
SELEKTIONs idea of the studio - sort of paraphrasing the working
process - based on single independent small units, which could combined,
in case a larger set-up was needed, or split, when flexibel on-site
recordings or actions were necessary. Since the beginning of the
90s, due to the development of individual approaches to sound-work
a certain differentiation could be witnessed: Wehowsky, for instance,
focussed his work on hard-disc recording techniques, whereas Wollscheid
put emphasis on the on-site sound-production and -recording.
