SELEKTION concerts include Jim O'Rourke, John Duncan, MERZBOW, Brandon LaBelle, Tetsuo Furudate and others - here the interest is not just to present the musician, but also to supply or create environments that coincide with the respective musical impetus. MERZBOWs show at the Brueckenkopf (which is actually a chamber in the foundation of Theodor-Heuss-bridge) was accompanied by Achim Wollscheids 4 x 4 strobe square, which visually underlined MERZBOW's sonic assault.
